A Quick Note About Shows in LA
Oftentimes I find myself with too many interesting shows to check out. Living in Los Angeles affords you so many opportunities to take in live music of any kind. Ultimately, I ended up at Casey’s in downtown to see the gentlemen of the TC4 close out their friday night residency there this...

WatchWatch
Just watched this excellent BBC documentary on Krautrock called “The Rebirth of Germany.” It touches upon the bands Kraftwerk, Can, Neu!, Faust, Tangerine Dream, Popul Vuh, Amon Duul, and more. This documentary does a great job at giving context to the Sociopolitical aspects of post World War II Germany in relation to this avant garde music scene.

Poet/Singer-Songwriter Kelli Anne Noftle reads the poem “Seatbelts Off” from her first published collection of poetry “I Was There For Your Somniloquy.” A brief reading that is well worth the watch and listen.

Dark rocking LA based band Hexham Heads have just signed with Mock Records. Mock Records put up this recording of “Rats In The Walls.” This has been one of my favorite songs in their live sets for some time. Check it out.

Seasons - Autumn EP Review
Highland Park based band Seasons have been playing throughout LA at a relentless pace the last few years. In that time they have released several season themed EP’s that have clear progressions of musical development. This progression has seen ultimate fruition with the release of ‘Autumn.’  The first sounds you hear on the opening track “Monday Night” are those of...
